„We Won't Shut Up!“ ist ein Festival zum Internationalen Frauentag, das von einem Münchner Kollektiv aus Menschen unterschiedlichster Hintergründe mit dem Ziel ins Leben gerufen wurde, möglichst viele Aspekte und Themen, die mit diesem Datum zusammenhängen, miteinander zu verbinden. Aufklärung zu betreiben und zu informieren, auf Missstände hinzuweisen, Frauen aus unterschiedlichen (Fach-) Bereichen eine Stimme zu geben, Künstler*innen und Musiker*innen die Gelegenheit zu bieten, ihre Kreativität zu präsentieren und diesen wichtigen Tag gemeinsam zu feiern. 
Zum ersten Mal gab es das Festival am 8. März 2020 in den Räumen der Glockenbachwerkstatt und dem Bellevue di Monaco und es ist mittlerweile auf dem besten Weg, eines der Events zu diesem Anlass zu werden, die aus unserer Stadt nicht mehr wegzudenken sind.

Seit seiner ersten Ausgabe konnte das „We Won’t Shut Up!“-Konzept in verschiedenen Formen stattfinden. So wurde eine Online-Aktionswoche ausgerichtet, um das Festival trotz der Corona-Pandemie ermöglichen zu können. Außerdem  konnten über das Jahr verteilt Einzel-Events an verschiedenen Veranstaltungsorten wie dem Köşk, dem Feierwerk und dem „Kunst im Quadrat“ auf der Theresienwiese veranstaltet werden. 

Das zentrale Datum bleibt aber immer der 8. März und nach dem regen Interesse an den vielfältigen Themen und dem großen Zuspruch für unser Veranstaltungskonzept freuen wir uns als „We Wont Shut Up!“-Kollektiv darauf, auch 2024 wieder ein Festival zu veranstalten, das informiert, inspiriert, Kraft gibt und Freude macht!

Wir danken dem Kulturreferat der Stadt München, den Bezirksausschüssen 1 und 2 der Landeshauptstadt München, dem Bürgerhaus Glockenbachwerkstatt, dem Bellevue di Monaco, dem Milla Club und dem Habibi Kiosk der Münchner Kammerspiele für die Unterstützung und die Zusammenarbeit.

"We Won't Shut Up!" is a festival on International Women's Day created by a Munich-based collective consisting of people from a wide range of different backgrounds with the aim of combining as many aspects and topics as possible related to this special date.

It aims to educate and inform, to point out grievances, to give a voice to women from different (specialist) fields, to offer artists and musicians the opportunity to present their creativity and to celebrate this important day together.
The festival was held on March 8, for the first time in the rooms at Glockenbachwerkstatt and Bellevue di Monaco in the heart of Munich, and is well on its way to becoming one of the city's most popular events for this important occasion.

Since its first edition, the "We Won't Shut Up!" concept has taken various forms. For example, an online special week was held to make the festival possible despite the coronavirus pandemic. It was also possible to organize individual events throughout the year at various Munich venues such as Köşk, Feierwerk and "Kunst im Quadrat" at Theresienwiese.

The central date however always remains March 8 and, after the lively interest in the various topics and the great response to our festival concept, the "We Wont Shut Up!" collective is looking forward to organizing another festival in 2024 which will educate, inform, inspire, empower and bring joy to everyone involved!

We are thrilled to have two more great venues for the festival this year: Habibi Kiosk and Milla Club. One edition of "Auf einen Mokka mit Sue" will take place at Habibi Kiosk and at the end of the first festival day of the fifth edition of We Won't Shut Up! we will organize a concert and a big party at Milla! We want to celebrate this important day together with all of you and conclude it with an extraordinary concert and great DJs!
